Sacraments

Baptism

Baptisms are held on the first and third Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm. When choosing your Godparents, please keep in mind that according to Canon Law, both Godparents must be Christian, and at least one must be a practicing Catholic. Please schedule your baptismal date by calling the parish office at 856-429-1330.

Reconciliation (Confession)

Confessions are held on Saturdays from 4:00 to 4:30 pm and any time by appointment. Seasonal Reconciliation services will be announced in the parish bulletin.

First Penance/First Holy Communion/Confirmation

Students receive First Penance and First Communion in the 2nd grade and Confirmation in the 8th grade. Preparation for the reception of these sacraments is a two-year program. Any individual beyond the usual age of reception of these sacraments should contact the Religious Education Office at 856-428-9207. It is the policy of the Diocese of Camden that a student must be in continuous Religious Education to be considered a candidate for Confirmation. Diocesan Policy also states that all children receive their sacraments in the parish in which they are registered.

Marriage

Arrangements should be made by the couple planning marriage well in advance of the marriage date. The couple should contact the parish office one-year in advance to make an appointment with one of the priests.

Sick Calls and Anointing

Arrangements should be made through the parish office for visits with the Eucharist for the sick and elderly. The rectory should be called at any time for the Sacrament of the Sick (i.e. as soon as the danger to health is evident).
